Mercedes-Benz has released the Dutch price of what is, at least for the time being, the sportiest and most potent version of the new CLE Coupé. The CLE 53 4Matic+ Coupé changes hands in the Netherlands from more than €134,000.
The brand new Mercedes-Benz CLE still has to get used to daylight, but that has not stopped the Germans from putting the first AMG version on the Dutch price list. We are talking about the Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4Matic Coupé, the 449 hp AMG version that will eventually give up its throne to an even stronger 63S E Performance version that produces 680 hp of plug-in hybrid power. This Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4Matic Coupé is the strongest CLE without plug-in hybrid technology and seems to remain so.
Although the Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4Matic Coupé is not a plug-in, it is electrified. It is called a 449 hp 3.0 six-cylinder with two turbos, but also a mild-hybrid part that temporarily adds 23 hp and 205 Nm to the whole. The Dutch price is set at €134,330, so you pay €299 per horsepower. The CLE 53 4Matic Coupé reaches a speed of 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds. Its top speed is set at 250 km/h, but it can optionally be increased to 270 km/h.
