Spyshots Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 Coupe

Mercedes-Benz wouldn’t be Mercedes-Benz if it didn’t give the new GLC a GLC Coupé brother. That GLC Coupé is of course just there and that body variant also comes with a thick AMG flavor. This is the thickest: the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 Coupé.

Mercedes-Benz pulled the curtain on the new second-generation GLC in June. The new GLC is longer and lower than its predecessor, but of course not as low from the rear as the upcoming new GLC Coupé. It is certain that the GLC Coupé is coming. That there is another freak AMG version of it now also.

In these photos you see the heaviest AMG variant of the forthcoming GLC Coupé. For the sake of convenience, we assume that the sporty top version will again be called 63 and 63 S. The GLC Coupé in these photos betrays the AMG genes, among other things, with its perforated brake discs, although the four angular exhaust tailpipes at the bottom of the rear may be an even better point of recognition. The milder but still quite potent 43 AMG flavors are expected to have two round exhaust tailpipes on either side of the butt.

Those exhausts probably no longer sound like the roar of a six-cylinder. Just like the 63 AMG version of the new C-class yet to be revealed, the GLC 63 AMG will probably get a four-cylinder that will receive acclaim from an electric motor. So it will probably be a plug-in hybrid, but a very potent one. Reportedly, the system power is 680 hp and 750 Nm. That also promises a lot for the GLC 63 AMG.
