Both petrol and diesel

Mercedes-Benz is expanding the C-Class delivery range with a set of new plug-in hybrid powertrains. The Mercedes-Benz C-class is already available as a C300 e, but is now also getting a more powerful C400 e and is also available as a plug-in hybrid with a diesel engine. AutoWeek has the prices.
Those who shop for the C-Class at Mercedes-Benz already have a huge range of engines and powertrains to choose from. In addition to regular petrol and diesel versions, the C-class is also available as a C300 e, a plug-in hybrid variant with a petrol engine of 204 hp and a 129 hp electric motor, which together account for a system power of 313 hp. The C300 e was only available with rear-wheel drive for the time being, but is now also available with 4Matic four-wheel drive. That does not apply to the C-class Estate, by the way. The electric range is 97 to 110 kilometers. But there’s more!
The 313 hp strong C300 e gets ahead of the 381 hp and 650 Nm strong C400 e. The Mercedes-Benz C400 e, always equipped with 4Matic all-wheel drive, has a 25.4 kWh battery pack, just like the C300 e. That package gives him an electric range of 97 to 110 kilometers. The C400 e 4Matic buzzes to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds. This makes it naturally faster than the C300 e, which takes 6.1 seconds (with 4Matic: 6.2 counts). Its top speed is 250 km/h. Incidentally, the C400 e is only available as a Limousine.
C 300de: plug-in diesel hybrid
Mercedes-Benz is not stopping at the introduction of a new plug-in hybrid powertrain with a petrol engine. From now on, the C-class is also available as the C300 de. Indeed, a diesel plug-in. It is available with and without a 4Matic drive and, like the other plug-in versions, has a 25.4 kWh battery. The diesel engine is a 2.0 with 197 hp that works together with a 129 hp electric motor. The system power is 313 hp and 550 Nm, remarkably identical to that of the C300 e (petrol). The rear-wheel drive variant has a top speed of 243 km/h (Estate: 241 km/h), the version with 4Matic drive kicks it up to 235 km/h (Estate: 232 km/h). Both variants accelerate to 100 km / h in 6.2 counts (Estate: 6.3 s). The electric range of the C300 is 103-111 kilometers, that of the C 300de 4Matic is 97-106 kilometers.
