Mercedes-Benz changes diesel engine 180d

Mercedes-Benz regularly updates the engine range of various models by expanding the list of available power stations with new versions. Today, however, we do not write about amplification, but about a motor change.

Mercedes-Benz exchanges the diesel engine of the current 180d for another machine. If you now order an A or B class or, for example, a CLA as a 180d, you will receive a 1,461 cc large four-cylinder diesel engine produced by Renault in the nose of your Benz. That 116 hp and 260 Nm strong diesel engine is currently available with a manual six-speed gearbox and with a 7G-DCT automatic transmission, a transmission with double clutch and seven gears. This four-pitter is now being replaced by a copy with a larger content.

The 1.5 in the 180d is namely replaced by the 1,950 cc four-cylinder Mercedes-Benz equally applies in the 150-horsepower 200d and 190-horsepower 220d diesel versions. This diesel engine built by Mercedes-Benz is even as 180d on the price list of the CAP, although the other models still have to do with the 1.5. An 8G-DCT automatic transmission is connected to the Mercedes machine, so a box with eight gears. The 2.0 delivers just like the 1.5 116 hp, but with 280 Nm it does bring an extra 20 Nm. Incidentally, the 116d that Mercedes-Benz has on the price lists is a variant of the 1.5 that is now being changed. According to German media, this 95 hp diesel engine, which Mercedes-Benz delivers in our country in the A-class, is no longer available later this year. After the engine change, the 180ds meet the Euro 6D emission standard. It is not known when the machines will be changed in the rest of the Mercedes models and what the consequences will be in terms of price.
