Mercedes-Benz CLE now also with an electrified six-cylinder

The mild-hybrid Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupé could already be ordered in the Netherlands as the CLE 200 and the CLE 300 4Matic. As CLE 200, the CLE Coupé has a 204 hp (+23 hp EQ Boost) mild-hybrid 2.0 four-cylinder. The CLE Coupé with that drivetrain can now also be ordered with 4Matic all-wheel drive. The four-wheel drive Mercedes-Benz CLE 200 4Matic is available as an AMG Line from €73,308, making it €3,545 more expensive than the rear-wheel drive version (€69,763).

For more CLE pizzazz, you could already turn to Mercedes-Benz for the CLE 300 4Matic. That engine version also has a mild-hybrid 2.0 four-cylinder, although with 258 hp (+23 hp EQ Boost) it is a lot more powerful than in the CLE 200 (4Matic). Mercedes-Benz parks an even stronger variant above that. It is called the CLE 450 4Matic and, unlike the 200 (4Matic) and 300 4Matic, it does not have a four-cylinder, but a machine with six burners on board. That is also a mild-hybrid power source. The 3.0 has 381 hp (+23 hp EQ Boost) and costs at least €96,360. Like every other engine version of the CLE, the CLE 450 4Matic is currently only available as an AMG Line. Those two extra cylinders immediately make the CLE 450 4Matic more than €16,000 more expensive than the CLE 300 4Matic.

Of course, the Mercedes-Benz CLE 450 4Matic is the fastest version of the CLE for the time being. It reaches a speed of 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, while the next quickest CLE – the CLE 300 4Matic – takes 6.2 seconds for the same sprint.

Full-fledged AMG versions will undoubtedly follow later and the CLE will also come to the Netherlands as a Convertible. The prices of the homeless CLS are still not available.
