The Mercedes-Benz truck division, Daimler Trucks, has presented an interesting three. The company shows, among other things, the GenH2 Truck, a truck with a fuel cell on board! In addition, we are digitally acquainted with two electric versions of the Actros, one of which is also very specially designed.
Mercedes-Benz is electrifying its model range. Not only is the number of plug-in hybrids on the price list growing, there is also a complete line of fully electric EQ models in the barrel. Daimler Trucks is also working on electrification. With the GenH2 Truck, the company is showing a conceptual version of a truck with a fuel cell on board.
GenH2 Truck
The GenH2 Truck is a particularly smoothly designed truck, which, in terms of design, reasonably matches the study models that Mercedes-Benz regularly pushes forward. That is not surprising, as the GenH2 Truck is after all still a concept, but an interesting one. The monster has a fuel cell on board and must be able to travel 1,000 kilometers on its two full tanks of hydrogen. The two tanks are each good for the storage of 40 kilos of liquid hydrogen. The fuel cell delivers twice 150 kW, while the relatively small battery pack with a capacity of 70 kWh can temporarily pull another 400 kW. The GenH2 Truck has two electric motors, each of which can deliver a peak power of 330 kW (449 hp) and 2,071 Nm. That power is more than welcome. The hydrogen truck is not a lightweight. The colossus puts a whopping 40 tons in the shell and also has a loading capacity of 25 tons.
In 2023, Daimler Trucks will start extensive tests, which will be carried out by its customers. The electrical colossus must go into production sometime between 2025 and 2030. By the way, Daimler Trucks is not alone in the hydrogen project. The company is working with the Volvo Group to develop the innovative giants.

eActros Longhaul
However, there is more. Mercedes-Benz is sticking an e-tje for the Actros model name, which is more than well-known in the truck world, and presents with the eActros LongHaul a preview of an electric truck that will go into production in 2024. Unlike the GenH2 Truck, the eActros LongHaul does not have a fuel cell on board, but is simply equipped with an enormous mountain of batteries. Daimler Trucks is aiming for a final range of about 500 kilometers. Yet there is a similarity with the GenH2 Truck. The eActros Longhaul is also topped with a design that looks very futuristic.

eActros
A buddy below that, Daimler Trucks has the eActros. A few years ago, the brand already showed an early version of it, which should be able to reach about 200 kilometers. The final eActros, which will hit the road next year, should be able to progress a lot further. Daimler Trucks does not yet disclose how large the range of these electric eActros will be.

Daimler Trucks has set itself the goal of selling only CO2-neutral models in Europe, North America and Japan by 2039. The company has developed a modular ePowertrain, which is fitted in all electric trucks.
