Slightly superfluous, Mercedes sends another teaser of the Mercedes-Benz EQB into the world. The electric brother of the CAP will be finally unveiled on Sunday afternoon.
The teaser plate shows a cap with a nose that we already know roughly from the EQA. That is not surprising, because the EQB is to the GLB what that EQA is to the GLA. In concrete terms: an electric version of the GLB, the remarkably lined seven-seater SUV that was presented in 2019.
The continuous LED part on the front can of course also be found on the EQB. The same is undoubtedly true of the dense, high-gloss black plate that takes on the optical task of the grille and connects the headlamps. With this front, the difference with the petrol version is greater than with the EQA / GLA, because the GLB has a naturally square facade with more or less rectangular headlights.
Although it cannot be seen on the teaser, the back also becomes markedly different from that of a cap. For example, a continuous rear light appears on the electric version and the logo is placed in the middle of the tailgate. The license plate must therefore move to a spot in the bumper.
What does not change is the practical ease of use. Mercedes also promises seven seats for the EQB and a load volume of up to 1,700 liters, barely less than the GLB.

The EQB will be unveiled at Auto Shanghai, the Chinese car show that really wants to open its doors this weekend. As far as technology is concerned, you can also count on many similarities with the EQA, which as EQA 250 has a battery pack of 66.5 kWh, a range of 426 km and 190 hp of electrical power.
