Microsoft releases My Workspace toolbar for macOS

My Workspace is a handy tool for Office 365 users on the Mac. You can access all Microsoft office apps from the menu bar.

My Workspace

This program is made available for free by Microsoft. My Workspace is Microsoft Garage’s first project for macOS. This department within Microsoft makes some more experimental programs and this app was developed in four months by a team of interns.

The software giant’s workshop offers a clear window in which all useful office applications from Microsoft are bundled. In this way, users can retrieve the information they need at a glance. This includes agenda items, but also contacts and the most recently opened documents in Word or Excel, for example.

Integration with Office

My Workspace offers deep integration with Microsoft apps and services. In addition to a calendar, for example, there is also a button to participate in scheduled Skype calls. The program is completely intended as a kind of virtual desk that provides access to your digital office. Users can customize the tool as required.

The program is accessible from the menu bar. Files open directly with OneDrive and can be pinned to find them faster. Thanks to shareable links, collaboration in Office 365 documents is also possible from My Workspace. In addition, users can adjust their settings for Microsoft’s office environment within the app.
