Minor update for 2024 CFMOTO 450SR

During the presentation of the 2024 models, attention was mainly focused on the new sportier brother, the 450SR S, but CFMOTO has also given the standard 450SR a first update for 2024. Without this having any influence on the price.

Minor update for 2024 CFMOTO 450SR

When we were introduced to the 450SR last year, we were quite impressed with what CFMOTO had achieved. An A2 supersport that could compete with the best in terms of finish and equipment, with a TFT color display, Brembo brakes and winglets in the fairing. However, the Chinese felt that things could be even better and have therefore already adjusted the engine again.

Starting with the 5″ TFT screen, which has been adopted from the 450SR S and now has Motoplay connectivity. Using the CFMOTO Ride app, you connect directly to your smartphone and navigate using the buttons on the handlebars. the menus. The TFT screen is now also equipped with a screen protector.

In terms of styling, CFMOTO has adapted both color variants. Zircon Black is still black and red but has a different design in terms of stickers. Nebula Black has made way for Nebula White, or white with red accents. According to CF, the red rims and the red accents on the winglets accentuate the sporty ambitions of the 450SR.

The winglets are not just there for show. CFMOTO claims that the wings generate 2 kilos of downforce at 120 km/h, but our man Ron didn’t think that made a huge difference during the two track tests in France last year. However, he was enormously impressed by the 450cc 270° parallel twin and – shod on Bridgestone rubber – by the steering characteristics.

CFMOTO has therefore not made any mechanical adjustments to the 2024 version. The parallel twin has a top power of 35 kW (47.6 hp) at 8,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 39 Nm at 7,600 rpm. The big difference, however, is that the 2024 version is equipped with traction control as standard. That’s quite nice for the cool stories, but we remain of the opinion that it is complete nonsense for these types of engines. Well, that’s it.

The 2024 450SR is available in our CFMOTO showroom in the Netherlands for €7,399. Our downstairs neighbors only have to pay €6,499 for the cool A2 supersport. That includes a 5-year warranty. Available mid-June/July.
