Suzuki has made some updates to the GSX-S1000 for the 2025 model year, and has also provided new colors. The price of this sporty one-liter Naked has remained the same, the engine is now already in the Suzuki dealer’s showroom and can therefore be ordered immediately.
You don’t have to explain to us that Suzuki has a damn fine engine with the GSX-S1000 that is much stronger than the paper top power of 152 hp suggests, and our readers were also aware of this during the reader test of the GSX-S family. convinced, and with no real competitor left in this segment (where did the days of no-nonsense one-litre sporty Nakeds go?) we wouldn’t have been surprised if they had kept everything the same for 2025.
Not so with the 2025 GSX-S1000, although the differences are not earth-shattering. Suzuki speaks of a new 5″ TFT color display, which not only provides real-time information about the status of the engine, but also serves as an adjustable gear shift indicator.
Updates and warnings appear as a pop-up, while the display switches automatically and manually between day (white) and night (black) settings for optimal readability. It is not entirely clear to us what is new about this, but we think it is a good excuse to hit the road with the GSX-S1000 again. A newly designed flyscreen with Suzuki logo is available as an accessory and we would also like to test that.
Underneath the GSX-S1000 has remained untouched. The 999cc inline four, taken over from the GSX-R1000 K7, has been tuned back compared to the GSX-R, but is still quite potent with a top power of 152 hp (of which we now know that this value is amply achieved at the rear wheel) and 106 Nm couple.
Add to that a wonderful six-speed gearbox with up/down quickshifter and you’re talking about a huge fun package that will take you to warp speed in no time. And let’s talk about the electronics, because it is not completely no-nonsense, there is a choice of 3 riding modes and traction control that can be adjusted in 5 positions, which works closely with Suzuki Clutch Assist, Low RPM Assist and Easy Start. And to stop all that violence in a timely manner, Suzuki has fitted Brembo M4.32 monobloc brake calipers.
The 2025 Suzuki GSX-S1000 is recognizable by new stickers, in combination with the colors Metallic Triton Blue, Metallic Matt Sword Silver and Glass Sparkle Black. The sporty Naked is available immediately, from € 14,999. That includes a 6-year warranty and 6 years of roadside assistance (which you will of course never have to use). The prices of the Street Xtreme and Street Xtreme + package have also remained the same.
