Last year, the Mini Moke was revived by Moke International. The jolly English equivalent of cars like the Citroën Mehari and Renault Rodeo would be back in production in limited numbers, but Moke International now reports that it will build its cars on a larger scale.
Moke announced last year a limited series of the reborn Moke to 56 pieces. The company now reports that it has found a partner in the English Fablink Group who will build more copies of the cheerful openwork Mini-like. To date, the reborn Mokes have been assembled in France.
Today’s Moke breathes the atmosphere of the original from every angle, but is slightly larger and has features such as power steering and windscreen heating. The converted Moke, which costs at least €23,240, has a 1.1-liter four-cylinder, a petrol engine that generates 68 hp and 93 Nm. The car has a top speed of 110 km/h and an average consumption of 6.9 l/100 km. For the time being, Moke only offers these historically accurate amusement machines in the United Kingdom.
