It was already spotted during testing this spring, but now Moto Guzzi has unveiled the long-awaited new Stelvio. The Stelvio, named after the iconic Italian mountain pass with 48 hairpin bends, is the second model based on the V100 V-twin that made its debut in the V100 Mandello last year.

A new chapter in the history of Moto Guzzi, a daring personality with innovative solutions, that is, according to parent company Piaggio, the new Stelvio in a nutshell, the second model based on the new 1,042 transverse V-twin, which the Italians simply ‘ Stelvio’ is called and not, as was assumed, ‘V100 Stelvio’.
The V-twin is specified for a top power of 115 hp at 8,700 rpm and a maximum torque of 105 Nm at 6,750 rpm, with 82% of that torque available from 3,500 rpm, while the limiter only ends the fun at 9,500 rpm makes. Guzzi claims a consumption of just under 1 in 20 (5.1 liters per 100 kilometers) and emphasizes that the V-twin now meets the new Euro5+ standard. Compared to the V100 Mandello, Guzzi has strengthened the shaft drive to make the Stelvio suitable for off-road use.
In terms of chassis, the Stelvio has a 46 mm Sachs upside down front fork with adjustable spring preload and rebound damping and a single-sided swingarm with left-hand monoshock with hydraulically adjustable spring preload and adjustable rebound damping, with 170 mm suspension travel front and rear. The wheelbase is 1,520 mm, the axle angle is 25.6°.
The adventurous approach has not resulted in a high seat, which at 830 mm is quite low by Allroad standards. Guzzi has equipped the Stelvio with spoke wheels, in sizes 19″ at the front and 17″ at the rear, the most commonly used size for Allroad models that are mainly intended for the street.
The Stelvio is also equipped as standard with advanced electronics, including cornering ABS, cruise control and traction control, the latter adjustable in four different settings. You can also choose from no fewer than 5 driving modes: Tourismo, Poggia (Rain), Strada, Sport and Off-Road, adjustable to different driving conditions.
The 5-inch TFT color screen with, according to Guzzi, extensive information that you can view from the saddle, of course has smartphone connectivity with Moto Guzzi MIA.
Optionally, the Stelvio can be equipped with PFF Rider Assistance Solution with 4D Imaging Radar technology for an increased level of safety while driving through Following Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Information System and Lane Change Assist.
The 2024 Moto Guzzi Stelvio Available in two matte colors: Giallo Savana and Nero Vulcano. Price and delivery time are not yet known.
