Motomondo launches ultraviolette in the Benelux and UK

If the name Ultraviolette (UV) does not say anything at all, then that is not strange, we had never heard of it. Founded by Narayan Subramaniam and Niraj Rajmohan In 2016, UV is an innovator in the field of future -oriented electric vehicle platforms and battery technology, in their own words steeped in ‘Aviation DNA’.

The fact that UV should not be seen as the umpteenth Indian EV start-up is apparent from the impressive list of global investors for which Ultraviolette is supported, including Lingotto (subsidiary of Exor NV, known from Ferrari, Stellantis, CNH Industrial, the Economist, Juventrom, among others, Juventor, Juventus, Juventus, Juventus, Juventus, Juventus, Juventus, Juventus, Juventrom, Juventrom, Juventus, Juventus, Juventus, Juventus, Juventus, Juventus, Juventus, Juventus, Juventriarist, Juventriarist, Juventriarist, Juventriarist, Juventriaristly. Motors and special invests.

The brand made his debut at EICMA in Milan in the past year, and thereby caught the attention of Jan Ykema, Managing Director of Motomondo, who did see bread in it. With its extensive experience in representing premium motorcycle brands and in -depth market knowledge, Motomondo was excellent positioned to lead the introduction of ultraviolet in the Benelux and the UK.

Narayan Subramaniam, co -founder and CEO of Ultraviolette

“We are extremely enthusiastic about our collaboration with Motomondo to bring the ultraviolet experience to the Benelux. This is a decisive step in our global journey, now that we are introducing the ultraviolet brand outside India on some of the most mature and critical motor markets in the world.

The proven state of service of Motomondo in building premium motorcycle brands in Europe makes them the ideal partner for these important regions. Their deep-rooted understanding of the market, combined with a passion for innovation and motorcycle culture, guarantees that the entire ultraviolet ecosystem-from product experience to aftersales-will be world-class from day one. This is just the beginning, and we are incredibly enthusiastic about what is to come. ”

This collaboration marks an important milestone in Ultraviolette’s worldwide expansion, with which it brings its high-performance electric motorcycles-starting with the acclaimed F77 Mach 2 Recon-to European markets.

Jan Ykema, Managing Director Motomondo:

“We are proud that we can bring ultraviolette – the most advanced electric motorcycle brand in the world – to the Benelux. Their technology is unparalleled and we are only at the beginning! Ultraviolette will disrupt the current motor market by offering a real alternative to combustion engines.”

The first model put on the market in the Benelux is the F77 Mach 2 Recon, the flagship of the UV with aggressive styling that is a mix of super sport and a Naked Sport. A sporty Naked, but then provided with a full tub. The sporty naked is powered by a permanent magnet AC engine, which is specified for a peak power of 30 kW (that is 40.8 hp) and a constant torque of 100 Nm.

Now we hear you think: those are not exactly figures to boast, but then you are wrong. The golden rule is that power only determines the top speed, where the torque is responsible for the acceleration. And with an electric motor, let that also be constant over the entire speed area. So no torque curve that peaks somewhere on 2/3 of the maximum speed, but as tight as a billiards cloth.

That means that the 100 Nm of this F77 MACH 2 is at all times at your disposal, depending on which driving mode you have selected, because to keep it drivable, a torque curve is formed electronically. Moreover, the joke is that the constant capacity of this 100 Nm strong Naked is only 9.5 hp, so that according to the EU rules it is homologated as A1 engine bike.

As far as electronics are concerned, the engine can be called advanced to say the least. With regard to couple curve you can choose from three driving modes: Glide, Combat and Ballistic, each with its own ‘gas response’ and degree of traction control (4 positions). Regenerating energy can be set at 10 levels, whereby at the highest level you hardly have to use the brakes and in the lowest level the engine feels like a two -stroke.

Not enough for you yet? The F77 is equipped as standard with Hill Hold system, dynamic stability control (DSC), switchable ABS (rear wheel), automatic dimming LED headlight with Ultra-V position lamp, a dual LED rear light, tire tension control, a loading limite, find my F77 and Deep.

The F77 Tech 2 Recon receives its energy from a 10.3 kWh SRB10 battery pack, mounted in an aluminum housing and equipped with a battery management system with patented 5 -level safety system – mechanical, thermal, electrical, electronic and software protection.

Despite ‘only’ 10.3 kWh battery (a zero SR/s is already at 17.3 kWh), a range of 231 kilometers in accordance with the WMTC measuring method is claimed and that is very neat in view of the battery. In practice that will probably be a bit less, but for an average ride it is more than enough.

Thanks to that 10.3 kWh battery, however, the Indians have also been able to keep the weight of the F77 Mach 2 low, which with 207 kilos of roadworthy can be absolutely competitive with a combustion engine. UV also claims an acceleration of 0-60 km/h in 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 155 km/h.

In terms of bicycle part, the F77 has a steel half -timbered frame with screwed aluminum ball head, a 41 mm upside down front fork and monoshock rear spring, both adjustable for the spring preload. In terms of brakes, a 320 mm disk with radial 4-piston caliper is provided, behind a 230 mm disk with a single-drifs caliper is mounted. The tires have the sizes 110/70 R17 at the front and 150/60 R17 behind.

And now its very strongest asset: the F77 Mach 2 Recon will receive a suggested retail price in the Netherlands from just € 11,599 roadworthy, that including the BPM that has also been in place for EV engines since this year. And if you even find that too expensive, for a limited time, Ultraviolette offers the F77 Mach 2 for an introduction price from just € 10,599. This exclusive price applies to pre-orders that are confirmed before June 30, 2025.

Ultraviolette offers a unique guarantee of 100,000 km or 5 years on the battery and powertrain, in addition to a standard vehicle guarantee of 30,000 km or 3 years on other components. According to the importer, this emphasizes the trust of the brand in the sustainability and quality of his products.
