Nano Flow Cell Quantino 25

We haven’t heard from NanoFlowcell for years, but the company is making itself heard again. It establishes an American department and shows a new study model: the Quantino 25 Concept.

Remember NanoFlowcell? We hardly anymore! In 2014 we first heard about the company, then still based in Liechtenstein, of the colorful entrepreneur Nunzio La Vecchia. The now Swiss-based NanoFlowcell has shown various versions of the Quant over the years and has already introduced the company’s smaller Quantino, EVs with so-called ‘flow batteries’. We haven’t heard from NanoFlowcell for a long time, but that is about to change.

NanoFlowcell announces that it has opened an American branch. From now on, NanoFlowcell will also be based in New York and that is not without reason. NanoFlowcell wants to make cars and ‘fuel’ for its EVs in the United States. More about the latter later. NanoFlowcell immediately shows a new study model: the Quantino 25 Concept. The Quantino 25 Concept, like the older Quantino of which it is a further development, is an open car with two small seats behind the front seats. So a 2+2. This time the Quantino has a removable roof. It has four electric motors, each of which produces about 80 horsepower. In 2.5 seconds the stubborn car sprints to 100 km / h. Its range is 2,000 kilometers. Wait a minute, 2,000 miles?

Sure. At least, that’s what NanoFlowcell claims. According to the company, this enormous range is possible due to the special ‘flow batteries’. Positively and negatively charged liquid electrolyte flows from an external tank to a fuel cell. When will NanoFlowcell’s cars actually be built and hit the road? Just like the company itself, that remains shrouded in mystery for a while. See first, then believe.
