New BMW 1 series with less camouflage on the Ring

The renewed BMW 1 series can’t be gone for long. Several tightly packed test cars have been driving their rounds for over a year now. One is the extra potent BMW M135i, and it is now losing some of its camouflage.

BMWs yet to be revealed are now good for the necessary speculation, because the brand from Munich managed to surprise us several times in recent years. Not only with sensational new designs, but also with radical facelifts. BMW’s smallest, the 1-series, has been on the cutting table for quite some time and it won’t be long before the brand presents its production version to us. Until then, we have to make do with more and more spy photography.

Until now, the new BMW 1 series has always been shown in a well-packaged form, and even now it could just be that the hatchback still has plenty of surprises up its sleeve. We can now see the new 1 Series, in the photos a copy in M135i flavor, a little better than was possible until recently.

Facelift BMW 1 Series M135i

The triangular cooling openings in the bumper were not visible before.

And guess what? It should come as no surprise that the car gets redesigned light units. Furthermore, the shape of the grille has been overhauled. The corresponding new bumpers are now more visible and seem to have striking triangular cooling openings. The four pipes sticking out from under the rear ones suggest the arrival of a full-fat M model, but we’re betting the post-life cycle impulse it sticks to an M135i in terms of ultimate fierceness.

BMW is expected to unveil the revised 1 Series later this year.

What do you notice about the least camouflaged new BMW 1 Series to date?
