BMW M4 Coupé and Convertible

The BMW 4-series Coupé and Convertible have been renewed and the supreme M versions are also being refined. There appeared to be still room for more power. The M Competition versions simply get some extra horsepower.

BMW opens a can of news that seems to have no bottom. The 4-series Coupé and Convertible went under the knife, the Z4 is suddenly available with a manual gearbox and here are the updated BMW M4 Coupé and M4 Convertible. The refreshed M4 Coupé and M4 Convertible receive largely the same updates as their milder motorized brothers and sisters. That means: new headlights, different taillights and sharpened bumpers. If you want to go all out visually, you can opt for some BMW M Design graphics go, stickers on the hood and the luggage compartment lid in high-gloss black or high-gloss red.

The ‘regular’ versions of the BMW M4 Coupé and Convertible retain their 480 hp and 550 Nm 3.0 inline six. The Competition versions do not get any extra power either, as they deliver 510 hp as before. Are you going for an M4 Competition with xDrive all-wheel drive? Then you do benefit from more horsepower. The BMW’s M4 Competition xDrive are now 530 hp strong and therefore generate 20 hp more than before. A rewritten engine management system can be held responsible for the increase in power. The M4s without Competition addition have a six-speed manual transmission, the Competition flavors have an eight-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission.

BMW M4 Coupé and Convertible

Have you ever seen an M4 Convertible so chic?

The M4 Competition Coupé reaches a speed of 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. The M4 Competition Cabrio is practically just as fast, with a 0-100 time of 3.7 seconds. The top speed of all versions is 250 km/h, unless you opt for the M Driver’s Pack. This makes the limiter less strict and gives the Cabrio a top speed of 280 km/h. The Coupé then continues to rumble until the speed limit reaches 290 km/h.

Both the M4 Coupé and M Cabrio have 18-inch alloy wheels at the front and 19-inch wheels at the rear. On the Competition versions, the wheels are one inch larger at both the front and rear. The updated M4s follow the updated versions of the regular 4-series Coupé and Convertible in various areas. Here too, updated infotainment and various new options for the interior and exterior finish. Do you think the M4s look too mild? Then BMW has the M Carbon Exterior package, the M Race Track package and a series of M Performance Parts on offer for you.

The market introduction of the updated BMW M4 Coupé and Convertible will take place in March. So there are no prices yet.
