New colors for 2022 CBR650R

At the EICMA in Milan, Honda presented its news for 2022. We kick off with the CBR650R, which has only been given a new coat of paint for the coming season. And Big Red has had a good reason for that.

New colors for 2022 CBR650R

The Supersport segment in terms of sales are only a fraction compared to its heyday, but that does not mean that there is no longer a market for it. The segment is still as popular as ever, only more and more motorcyclists have realized that extremely sporty and public roads do not really go together.

The CBR650R is living proof of this, the bike was put on the market two years ago as an evolution of the CB650F launched in 2014, with which we went to Scotland and Northern Ireland at the time.

The transformation from F to R turned out to be a bull’s eye. The sportier design that was clearly derived from the Fireblade appealed to the imagination, but just as important was that the engine had fun and adrenaline of an RR, but much more practical for the street and also cheaper to maintain. Perfect for daily home/work use and fun at the weekend.

In 2019, the CBR650R was the second best-selling sports bike in Europe. This year the bike got some minor updates, including a front fork upgrade, which has been enough to earn the title of ‘Best-selling sports bike in Europe in 2019’.

So for 2022 Honda has only kept it with updates to both colors: Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic with new orange highlights and Grand Prix Red with updated graphics.
