BMW has an extensive range of new electric models ready for the Neue Klasse family. What seems? Every BMW in the new EV family can charge bidirectionally, which means they can soon also supply your home with power.
Earlier this month, BMW pulled the curtain back on the Vision Neue Klasse should offer more than BMW’s current EVs. The manufacturer now reports that every model in the Neue Klasse series can charge bidirectionally.
The first models of the Neue Klasse series will appear on the market in 2025. Regardless of which one you choose – there will be several – these new EVs offer the opportunity to supply energy back to the power grid. This means that the Neue Klasse EVs cannot only charge other electrical devices. The electric BMWs should also be able to supply power to your home via the Vehicle to Home mode. The Vehicle to Grid (V2G) mode was created to pump electricity back into the power grid, although the Dutch infrastructure and regulations are not yet strongly equipped for this.
