New Lexus GX: The toughest of Lexus’ three new SUVs

Lexus pulls the curtain on the all-new GX on June 9. The Lexus GX is an SUV that we don’t really know at all in the Netherlands, but that has been around for quite a few years. Lexus has the long-legged taste, by the way, because there is a whole bunch of high newcomers in the barrel!

It’s quite bubbling in the development rooms of Lexus. Recently, the brand pulled the curtain on the all-new LM, a luxurious MPV-like passenger bus that will also come to Europe, but will pass the Dutch nose. That car is still brand new, but Lexus is already happily looking ahead to its next new models. Soon Lexus will introduce a completely new and relatively compact model called LBX and for the North American market Lexus will soon present a completely new model called TX. That Lexus TX will be an SUV that fills the gap between the RX and the GX and LX. You also know the RX in the Netherlands, the GX and LX may not. The GX is basically Lexus’ version of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, the LX is Lexus’ version of the full size Land Cruiser-without-Prado addition. The Lexus GX has been running since 2009 and is in serious need of replacement. There is a completely new generation of the GX in the pipeline and it seems to come even before the new Land Cruiser Prado with which it probably shares its base.

2020 Lexus GX

Lexus has released a new teaser plate showing a significant portion of the rear of the new GX. The new Lexus GX promises to be a relatively angular SUV that, with its outwardly chunky appearance, should illustrate that it can actually hold its own in off-road conditions. We see a striking shoulder line and an angular buttocks with small rear lights that are connected by an LED bar in the tailgate. On June 9, Lexus pulls the curtain on the new GX. So just a little patience. Whether the new Lexus GX will come to Europe? We expect that will not be the case again, but the new GX undoubtedly gives away more about the next generation Land Cruiser Prado that will get European asphalt and mud under its wheels.
