New Mercedes-AMG SL on display

Mercedes-Benz will soon present a completely new generation of the SL, the first new SL in ten years. It is that new open two-seater that digital records have surfaced on the internet.

Including Instagram account cars_secrets and that of illustrator Andrei Avarvarii – you may be familiar with the previews in Blik to the Future, are posting digital drawings of the new SL online today. They don’t seem to be patent plates, although they are too detailed to have been created by any digital artist. Basically, the images confirm what we already know: the new SL takes a different but equally well-known road.

If you take a look at these computer drawings, you might just have the feeling that you are looking at the new AMG GT Roadster. It therefore seems very likely that the new SL will replace that car. Especially because the new SL was developed by Mercedes-AMG. Although the new SL, like its distant forefathers, gets a fabric hood again, it also gets a small rear seat. So it will be a 2+2 and with that characteristic Mercedes-Benz also seems to use the new SL as a successor to the S-class Cabriolet. Don’t be surprised if the new AMG GT Coupé eventually becomes the sportier closed version of the SL, but that remains speculation.

Soon we will know everything about the new SL, which by definition will be an AMG.
