The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class makes its debut this week, but to see the look of the new model, you don’t have to get to the unveiling. A set of photos of the new C-class is already circulating on the internet.
The leaked photos of the new Mercedes-Benz C-class confirm that the car is not revolutionizing the automotive world. Mercedes-Benz is sticking to the familiar silhouette for the new, fifth generation of its A4 and 3-Series competitor. The new C-class also gets a relatively short sedan lid, a fairly straight window line and a long bonnet. However, the lighting changes quite a bit. With its renewed muzzle, the C-class creeps towards the new S-class and we also see similarities with Mercedes’ top sedan at the rear. Unlike the outgoing model, the taillights now have extensions that plunge into the tailgate. The E-class already received such rear lights with its radical facelift.
The interior of the new C-Class is also on the street. How could it be otherwise, the interior of the new Mercedes somewhat resembles that of the new S-class. In the center of the dashboard, an apparently huge vertically oriented touch screen that belongs to the infotainment system. There is also a screen behind the wheel, a display that naturally functions as a set of instruments. The biggest design difference compared to the S-Class lies in the preference that Mercedes-Benz has given to rounder shapes in the C-Class. For example, the middle tunnel in the C-class flows smoothly into the dashboard and the ventilation grilles are slightly round. Mercedes-Benz opts for a more angular design for the S-Class.
The new C-class will of course be available again with a whole range of petrol and diesel engines, although Mercedes-Benz no longer puts six or eight cylinders under the hood. All machines will be four cylinders. That means that all AMG versions will soon have to do with two to four burners less. The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class will be officially unveiled later this week. Keep an eye on Techzle!
