New Mercedes-Benz S-class in the picture

Rarely have so many running meters of camouflaged Mercedes-Benz been reviewed as in recent weeks. There is only one reason for this: hard work is being done in Stuttgart to develop the new S-class, which means that the top sedan regularly goes out. Today, the new Mercedes-Benz flagship has returned to the public. This time, more of the body of the new limousine is visible.

The S-class has always been the model that pumps Mercedes-Benz with interesting new technologies and so it is not surprising that the top sedan is extensively tested before its actual presentation. The new S-class does not seem to revolutionize design. The upcoming generation of the model also carries a relatively classically designed sedan fingerboard, in which round shapes and of course the necessary square centimeters of chrome work determine the image. The S-class does seem to grow a lot compared to the current model. And that promises something.

Mercedes-Benz carries the current S-class in various length variants, the shortest of which extends over a distance of 5.12 meters. Above this is a Long variant with a wheelbase extended by 13 centimeters to 3.17 meters. That stretched S-class has a car length of 5.25 meters, although that car must also recognize its multiple in the 5.45-meter Maybach and 6.50-meter Pullman variants.

Of course, the new S-class is not only interesting because of its dimensions. It is in line with expectations that the car will take a step in the field of autonomous technology, among other things. The interior seems to breathe a more high-tech atmosphere than the current S-interior. The new S-class will not be available in fully electric form, because Mercedes-Benz has the EQS behind the scenes for that.

We expect to see the new S-class in full later this year. No doubt more about the top sedan will be announced in the run-up to the unveiling.
