Little boy
Yesterday, images of the Volkswagen Passat trickled onto the internet too early, today it is the Mini Countryman that we can view earlier than Mini would have liked. There is and profile no misunderstanding about this: he is going to be a big boy.
Looks like we did this time Cochespias (not for the first time), because there we find these four pictures of the brand new Mini Countryman. Perhaps the most important of the bunch is unfortunately also the most vague, namely the photo of the side of the Mini Countryman. It gives more than ever an idea of how strong Mini’s SUV has become at the generation change. The exact dimensions were already known, it will be 4.43 m long (13 cm longer than the current one), but now you can really see what that does to its appearance.
There is also a close-up view of the nose of the new Mini Countryman. On it we see, as expected, the special, more angular headlights. It is also good to see that the Countryman gets some more folds in its body and thus shakes off some of the classic round shapes that we know from Mini. The same story at the back: the fairly narrow and elongated taillights give a slightly different look than we are used to from the brand.
Finally, there is a photo of the interior. Here Mini goes for more minimalism than with the current models. Narrow and elongated ventilation grilles flank a round central display that now optically floats in front of the dashboard. Something that we already know from the Mini Concept Aceman and that therefore also returns in this way in the production Aceman and in the Mini Cooper. Centrally just below the dashboard is a modest button cluster, presumably for climate control, among other things.
Soon we will see the new Mini Countryman in full and on an official image. For now, we’ll have to make do with these photos. The new Mini Countryman will also be on the market with fully electric powertrains and also with fuel power. After all, it shares its technical basis with the BMW X1, which is also available as an electric iX1. You can read more about the new Mini Countryman here.
