Nissan has a revised version of the Navara in its development rooms. The brand now shows a first teaser image of that modernized workhorse.
The Nissan Navara presented in 2014 is a popular pick-up. This is not directly related to his Dutch sales performance. The Navara served as the basis for the now-defunct Mercedes-Benz X-class. Alliance partner Renault also has a version of the Navara on its international sales lists: the Alaskan. It does not stop there, the Chinese manufacturer Dongfeng also supplies an optically enhanced variant in the form of the Rich 6. The Navara has been on the market for six years now and was subjected to a minor facelift last year. There’s a more thoroughly modified model in Nissan’s development centers, and it’s that honed Navara that the brand is now releasing its first image.
Nissan Navara (current model)
The modified Navara, not to be confused with the also called Frontier pick-up that Nissan sells in the United States (photo 8), gets a new nose, complete with different headlights in which the LED daytime running lights are housed. The pick-up also seems to get a revised and larger grille. It is very likely that little will change on the motor level, which means that the Navara in the Netherlands should be available again with the 190 hp 2.3 dCi diesel engine. The dCi diesel of 163 hp and 425 Nm also seems to return. We will know more on 5 November, when the updated Navara will be officially presented.
