New on Netflix March 2021
Netflix makes a slew of new series and films available every day. On iPhone we look ahead every month at the new offer with the best tips. These are often new series and films, but also old favorites that appear on Netflix.

1. The Irregulars
This new series, based on Sherlock Holmes, isn’t even about the famous detective himself. In The Irregulars, you follow a group of teenagers who solve crimes. The name comes from the Bake Street Irregulars, street kids who help keep an eye on life in London in the Sherlock Holmes books. The Netflix series promises to be a lot more dark and supernatural.
Airing on Netflix from 26 March.
2. Murder Among the Mormons
It is once again a feast for fans of true crime. This three-part documentary looks at three bomb attacks in Salt Lake City in 1985 that killed two people. Special documents were found in one of the cars that shook the Mormon church to its foundations.
Airing on Netflix from March 3.
Pacific Rim: The Black
While there are no plans for a third Pacific Rim movie, you can enjoy an anime based on the movies this month. In the series you follow a brother and sister who go in search of their parents with a Jaeger when Kaiju have conquered Australia. That mainly means biggest fights between monster and machine.
Airing on Netflix from March 4.
4. Sky Rojo
In this crazy action series, you follow three sex workers in search of freedom. The women try to flee from their pimp, who is chasing them along with his henchmen. They soon find out that they are stronger together. The series was created by the people behind La Casa De Papel.
Airing on Netflix from 19 March.
5. Wafer and Mochi
Michelle Obama is coming to Netflix in a new series that may inspire kids to cook. In Wafeltje and Mochi you meet two muppets who dream of becoming a chef. They travel the world meeting famous chefs and tasting the best dishes. Educational, fun and delicious.

Apple TV Plus update
- Cherry – 12 March
Tom Holland plays a troubled boy in this film. After having traumatic experiences in the military, he has to deal with his thoughts and a drug addiction. He decides to rob banks. The movie was made by the Russo brothers, who of course you know from Captain America: Civil War and the two latest Avengers movies. Cherry, however, promises to be a lot smaller.
Disney Plus update
WandaVision closes the first season on Disney Plus, but the series is immediately followed by The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. That means a dose of Marvel on your television every week. Also, a new movie in Premier Access will be available on the service, meaning you’ll have to pay extra to watch it. Raya and the Last Dragon will probably also be on view in a few months at no extra cost.
