The Dig
In the period just before World War II, a well-to-do widow hires an amateur archaeologist to come and take a look at her estate. Because war threatens to break out, the museum cannot do without professional archaeologists. However, the museum’s interest is piqued soon enough when the amateur archaeologist, Mr. Brown, makes a stunning discovery on the estate. The film stars Carey Mulligan and Ralph Fiennes and is based on a true story.
Crime Scene: the Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel
Elisa Lam disappeared without a trace in January 2013. Some time later she was found in one of the water tanks on top of the Cecil Hotel. In the last images of the young woman, we see her step into one of the elevators of the hotel and look nervously around her. Her death remains unsolved to this day. Netflix has now realized that the true crime series are well received by the public and that is why a series about the disappearance of Elisa Lam will be presented in February. The series was created by the makers of the Ted Bundy tapes.
Behind Her Eyes
Behind Her Eyes is an exciting miniseries that will be released on Netflix next month. It is the adaptation of the thriller book with the same title and is about the psychological game in which a single mother finds herself when she starts a relationship with her boss, who is a psychiatrist. In the meantime, however, the mother also develops a bond with her boss’s wife, which makes the whole situation all the more complicated.

Sam Bloom was partially paralyzed after an accident, which she barely survived. Now she spends her life in a wheelchair, something she has a lot of trouble accepting. It turns out to be the rescue that brings them all back together. This film is based on a true story and is a real tear-jumper for the whole family.
If Beale Street Could Talk
If Beale Street Could Talk is a romantic drama film in which we follow a couple who have been friends since childhood and later develop a romantic relationship. As a couple they try to find an apartment in New York in the 1970s, but for black people this is almost impossible during that period because landlords refuse to rent apartments to black people. As a young black couple, they not only have to deal with racism on a daily basis, but also with inequality and abuse of power and racism from the police.

Red Dot
Red Dot is a Swedish thriller in which we follow a couple whose marriage has actually ended. However, if the woman gets pregnant, the couple decides to give it one more chance. They go on a skiing holiday in the Swedish mountains and decide to go out alone in the Swedish wilderness. Camping in this wilderness, when they are in their tent, a red dot suddenly appears on their tent. It suggests that there is a sniper somewhere targeting the couple. They have to flee through the inhospitable mountains and are not sure of their lives.
John Wick: Chapter 2
John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is back on Netflix. You can expect all kinds of action from the John Wick films and that is certainly no different with this film, John Wick: Chapter 2. This time the story takes place on a European stage. John Wick has sworn an unbreakable oath and is called to pay his debt. You can expect not only the coolest action scenes, but also fast cars, explosive special effects and unmistakable action one-liners.

Jiu Jitsu
Nicolas Cage is back with a vengeance and can be admired in action in Jiu Jitsu. This film combines action, ancient martial arts with a dash of sci-fi. When Wylie sees an unconscious man floating in the water, he rescues him and leaves him with two fishermen to take care of him until he recovers. However, confusion arises when the drowning man speaks of a comet passing Earth every six years, opening a portal to other universes.
The Outpost
The film The Outpost follows 53 American soldiers who came up against an enemy army of more than 400 men in an operation in Afghanistan. The outfit that Operation Enduring Freedom has built to engage civilians in development projects is under constant threat of attack by the Taliban. The ultimate battle of Kamdesh has gone down in history as one of the most heroic battles of the US military in Afghanistan.
All My Friends Are Dead
All My Friends Are Dead is a dark comedy in which a group of young people continuously flirt with dark things during a New Year’s party. Relationships, infatuation and alcohol are involved and as it is at parties, developments go from bad to worse. In the end, the partying youngsters have to deal with all kinds of painful situations such as hidden secrets, confrontations and eventually even death.
Angel
Angel is a retired rock star from the 80s of the last century. She wants to revive her career, however, and her husband decides that this can best work if she stages her own death and create a media circus around it. This comedy film of Swedish origin will be released on Netflix this month to make you laugh at the undoubtedly bizarre situations that this creates.
