New Opel Grandland from all angles

New Opel Grandland from all angles

The Opel Grandland X will soon receive a facelift and lose the X in its name. The Grandland gets acquainted with the new family face of Opel during its at-point session. He can be admired from all angles in a series of spy photos.

The Opel Grandland X was shown to the world public at the IAA in Frankfurt in 2017, meaning that the largest SUV from Rüsselsheim will blow out four candles later this year. To keep the model up to date, Opel will give the Grandland X a facelift later this year. The Crossland X, revised last year, lost the ‘X’ in its name during its facelift and is now simply called Crossland. The Mokka underwent a similar name change during its generation change in 2020. The Grandland X will soon be called simply Grandland, but the facelift that is coming up will involve more than just a name change.

Opel now has a new design language of which the ‘Opel Vizor’ is the most striking design feature. We already know it from the Mokka and are actually all the way in front of the car. It is a relatively flat-looking dark panel that houses the headlights and brand logo. These spy photos clearly show that the Grandland will, in a sense, also have this front. In a way, since the nose of the Grandland will probably be a slightly toned down version of the one on the Mokka. After all, it remains a facelift.

The Opel Grandland therefore gets different headlights and a flatter grille. Lower on the nose a new bumper and the rear bumper will also be shoveled. The design of the rear lights seems to remain unchanged. The price list of the facelifted Grandland will probably not look significantly different from that of the Grandland X. The 130 hp 1.2 Turbo will undoubtedly return and the 224 hp Hybrid and the 300 hp Hybrid4 will remain the showpieces of the range. We expect the renewed Opel Grandland on the Dutch market in the second half of this year. Since the introduction of the Grandland X, almost 11,400 units have been sold in our country. 4,553 units were registered in 2019, the best Dutch sales year for the SUV.
