Audi currently only supplies the Q5 and Q5 Sportback as a plug-in hybrid and as a powerful SQ5 with a diesel engine. The range is now being expanded with a conventional petrol version, AutoWeek can report exclusively.
Anyone in the market for an Audi Q5 or Q5 Sportback and looking at the price list of those SUVs has until now only encountered two plug-in hybrid powertrains and the SQ5 with a powerful TDI diesel heart. Audi is now expanding the range of the Q5 and Q5 Sportback with the 40 TFSI, a mild-hybrid petrol engine. AutoWeek has the prices.
The 40 TFSI is a 204 hp mild-hybrid 2.0 TFSI petrol engine that is linked to an S-tronic automatic transmission. The Audi Q5 costs €67,194 with this powertrain. This drops the starting price of the Q5 by about 3 mille. Until now, the €70,012 299 hp plug-in hybrid 50 TFSIe was the entry-level model. The starting price of €67,194 applies to the Pro Line version. The 40 TFSI is also available in combination with the flavors Advanced Edition (€69,194) and S Edition (€71,142).
The Audi Q5 Sportback will also be available with the 40 TFSI powertrain. The starting price of the Q5 Sportback 40 TFSI is €71,842. Then you will immediately receive the Advanced Edition. The Q5 Sportback 40 TFSI is also available as an S Edition and costs €72,894 in that configuration.
