Opel recently parked a new petrol engine on the Insignia’s international delivery list. However, that 2.0 Turbo is not coming to the Netherlands.
The international delivery range of the Opel Insignia was expanded yesterday with a new version of the well-known 2.0-liter blown four-cylinder. That 170 hp and 350 Nm strong variant is not coming to the Netherlands, Techzle can report. Opel Nederland believes that the current 200 hp and 350 Nm strong two-liter offers an attractive enough alternative. This is partly due to the fact that the CO2 emissions and thus the bpm do not differ between the two power sources. By forgoing the new engine, the offer is less complex, according to the importer.
Both versions of the two-liter engine are linked to a nine-speed automatic transmission. A sprint from a standstill to 100 km / h manages the Insignia with the 170 hp machine in 8.7 seconds. The 200 hp variant completes the 0-100 sprint in 7.7 seconds and helps the sturdy German to a top speed of 235 km / h. The starting price of the Insignia Grand Sport with the 200 hp 2.0 is € 44,119. That amount is for the Business Elegance version. One step higher is the € 48,749 Ultimate, followed by the € 50,449 sporty GS Line. The Sports Tourer with 200 hp 2.0 Turbo costs as Business Elegance, Ultimate and GS Line successively € 45,699, € 50,249 and € 51,949.
