Many Google Pixel 6 owners report that several sounds have changed after the April update. This includes, for example, ringtones and alarms. The issue has not yet been officially confirmed by Google.
Ringtone and alarm sound suddenly adjusted
on reddit Several Pixel owners are reporting a new bug after the April update. Sounds for notifications, ringtones and alarms, for example, would suddenly have changed. They indicate that they have not changed anything themselves, and that they only experienced it after the April security update. Some users also report that they have lost their unique ringtones. So it seems that the update will, among other things, remove ringtone files on various Pixel devices. The bug is currently being reported by owners of the Pixel 3a, Pixel 5, Pixel 6, and Pixel 6 Pro. On our editorial board and in our community on Telegram no one is experiencing the problem at the moment.
Lots of bugs for the Pixel 6 (Pro)
Unfortunately, the problem with changed sounds is not the only bug that owners of the Pixel 6 (Pro) among others have to endure. For example, in December and February we already got the message that the Pixel 6 (Pro) was suffering from Wi-Fi and Bluetooth problems. We also came with the news that owners of the Pixel 6 (Pro) would no longer be able to receive calls and the signal of those devices would regularly drop. So now it seems to be happening again. Google often comes up with a solution, which is then included in a new update. Unfortunately, at the moment with every update a new bug is added.
Are you currently experiencing problems with the Pixel 6 (Pro)? And do you (also) suffer from the suddenly adjusted ringtones after the April update? Let us know in the comments below this article.
