Land Rover pulled the curtain on the all-new Range Rover in 2021, which means that lovers of a more dynamic alternative have already been counting down for the arrival of the new Range Rover Sport. A new set of spy photos shows that new Range Rover Sport from all angles.
In October 2021, Land Rover presented the all-new Range Rover, down to the last detail, a car on an all-new modular basis called Modular Longtitudinal Architecture (MLA). The current Range Rover Sport is due for replacement with the introduction year 2013, but redemption is near. The same MLA basis of the new Range Rover also comes under the slightly smaller Range Rover Sport that you see in these photos.
Like the new Range Rover, the next-generation Range Rover Sport doesn’t seem to revolutionize design. The overall line of the new generation corresponds to that of the current one, although things are just a bit tighter, just like with the new Range Rover. The Range Rover Sport already had a significantly flatter rear window than its more lavish big brother; that doesn’t seem to change with the generational change. However, the difference between the two SUVs at the back is even clearer. The Range Rover had and has vertically oriented rear lights, the new Range Rover Sport now gets emphatically horizontal LED units.
The new Range Rover will undoubtedly be available with plug-in hybrid powertrains, although you should certainly count on the arrival of an extra potent SVR flavor. Perhaps even more interesting is the possible arrival of a fully electric variant. The new Range Rover will be available with an electric powertrain in 2024. We don’t expect to see the new Range Rover Sport in full gear before the end of the year.
