The Rang Rover Sport is still proud in the showroom, but the next generation is already announcing itself. The new Range Rover Sport is driven through the snow by the test drivers.
At the current Range Rover Sport, the designers took a significantly more modern angle than the previous one. The classic lines with strong hints to the primordial Rang Rover disappeared and made way for a more contemporary design. There was also a greater distinction between the regular Range Rover and its sportier brother. Not entirely without success, because the sales picked up nicely. For the time being, the car may last a while, but in over a year it will be the next one. We can already see them appear in a relatively subtle camouflaged way.
Subtle camouflage is of course a relative term, because this distant precursor to the production model still leaves enough to the imagination. What we can see is that the car will be immediately recognizable as a descendant of the current Range Rover Sport. The car got a slightly sloping nose with the current generation and a more rounded rear and that is also the case here. Think a bit sharper-shaped Range Rover Velar-like front and rear lights and you will probably get a good idea of the new Range Rover Sport.
Although the outward change may not immediately catch the eye, there is certainly a lot of news under the coach. The new Range Rover Sport is on the new MLA platform. Several Jaguars will use it, but also the next regular Range Rover and Discovery. This modular platform must further reduce the weight, but it has also been developed for fully electric and partly electric power lines. This year we hear more. The regular Range Rover may appear at the end of this year, this Range Rover Sport will probably follow in mid-2021.
