New Skoda Fabia is coming in May

Thomas Schäfer, Chairman of the Skoda Board of Directors, made two interesting announcements during the presentation of his 2020 financial results. Now it is known when we can expect the new Skoda Fabia on the market and we also know what the coupe brother of the electric Enyaq will be called.

Skoda has already released information about the all-new Fabia several times. It was already known that the fourth generation Fabia will be on the market this year. Schäfer reports that it will already be presented in May and confirms once again that the Fabia Combi will also get a successor.

As is known, the new Fabia Combi will take a while, although we now also know when the practical variant of the B-segmenter will be launched. The coming generations of the Superb and Passat will both be produced in Volkswagen’s factory in Bratislava from 2023. The space that will become available in the factory in Kvasiny in the Czech Republic from 2023, where the current Superb will be built, will be made available for the production of the upcoming Fabia Combi, among other things.

Skoda has also officially put a name on the coupé version of the electric Enyaq iV. That car will simply be called Enyaq iV Coupé. Not surprising, but clear. It is equally well known that there is a coupé in the barrel. The Skoda Vision iV that was presented in 2019, did not only look ahead to the regular Enyaq. Its steeply sloping roofline was also a strong hint to the arrival of a coupé version. The sportier-lined brother of the Enyaq iV has also been seen in a test suit.
