Skoda Superb

Skoda has a busy year ahead. It is working on facelifted versions of the Scala and Kamiq and will pull the curtain on the completely new Kodiaq and the new Superb in the fall. The latter comes not only as a Combi, but also as a liftback with a hefty tailgate. That’s special!

Skoda is equally busy warming up for the new Kodiaq and Superb, which will debut in the autumn of this year. Skoda previously indicated that the new fourth-generation Superb, like the current model, will not only appear on the market as a Combi, but also as a liftback. Why is that special? The new Superb will be produced side by side with the next-generation Volkswagen Passat in Bratislava, but the new Passat will only be available in showrooms as a Variant.

We have already shown you the Skoda Superb Combi as a packed prototype several times. That promises to be a whack of a station wagon again, in accordance with tradition. Now we can show you the new Skoda Superb ‘liftback’ for the first time. Skoda does little to the concept. We see a stretched Czech with a large fifth door, behind which there is undoubtedly a considerable luggage space. The current model swallows 625 liters as a liftback.

Skoda Superb: fill it up!

The new Skoda Superb will probably be on a slightly refreshed variant of the MQB platform and will therefore not have a completely new basis. In any case, expect petrol and plug-in hybrid variants. There will not be a fully electric Superb.

Since the Dutch market introduction of the first generation Superb in 2002, almost 25,000 units have been sold in our country over three generations. This makes the Superb the most registered Skoda in our country after the Octavia and Fabia. The Superb had its peak year in 2016, when almost 3,100 units found a Dutch address in the Netherlands.
