Ares Modena patent electric car

The electric Fiat 500E is currently perhaps the compact EV with the highest lifestyle content, but that little Italian will soon be joined by an equally hip electric rascal. This does not come from Fiat, Mini or Lancia, but from Ares Modena.

Ares Modena is a coachbuilder you may know from the mighty S1 Speedster, a Corvette (C8) based exclusive open exotic. In more or less the same category, Ares Design – a company owned by former Lotus CEO Dany Bahar – previously introduced the Panther, a modern interpretation of the DeTomaso Pantera. Ares Modena is therefore mainly concerned with the more exclusive stuff, but also comes with its own electric car!

Ares’ electric little one

At a shareholder meeting in Zurich, Switzerland, Ares Design announced the arrival of a series of products that will go into production in 2023. This includes an electric bicycle, an electric step, an electric moped and an electric motorfiret. But Ares is also going to make something electric with four wheels: a compact car. In photos shot during the shareholder meeting, Ares already shows the electric little one subtle, but AutoWeek has obtained the patent plates on which the electric Ares can be seen much better.

The small electric car from Ares promises to be a fashionable little one drenched in retro elements. Completely in the style of cars such as the electric Fiat 500E. We see a four-seater with a fabric roll-top, small round headlights and a whole series of chrome-colored accents that should make the Ares a pretty classic-looking car. We also see something of the interior. A wide and flat display here takes on the role of both instruments and infotainment screen. No doubt Ares Modena’s small electric car is not going to be a bargain.
