Significantly less exciting

In July, Volkswagen presented the completely new second generation of the Amarok. Until now, Volkswagen showed the new pick-up only as a richly decorated Double Cab, but AutoWeek can now also show you the less exciting decorated flavors. Including a simple Amarok Single Cab.
The Amarok – and therefore also the youngest generation of the model – plays a minor role for the Dutch private individual, but the car is a lot more relevant in commercial vehicle land. In July, the second generation Amarok made its debut. The new Amarok, which is now based on the Ford Ranger, has only been used by Volkswagen to date Double Cab shown, so the Double Cab version. In addition, the Amaroks shown on the picture were also properly dressed. The versions that AutoWeek can now show you on a patent image are a lot more pragmatic.
Until now, the Amarok has only been shown as a generously decorated Double Cab/Double Cab.
Our most striking new variant is the Amarok single cab, with only two seats. The contrast with the flavors shown by Volkswagen is quite large. We see a fairly simple VW with black plastic bumpers and a much longer loading area than the models shown with four doors.
World news? No, but perhaps good news for those who would like to have an Amarok on a gray license plate with a long body: it seems to be coming.
