In this video we tell you everything
In the market for a compact electric crossover that has been drenched in a hearty retro sauce? Then you don’t have to wait until 2025 for the Mini Aceman. This is the brand new Fiat 600e, an electric crossover with a range of more than 400 kilometers, retro design and a partly classic name.

The electric Fiat 500e is joined by a considerably larger but at least as electric alternative: this brand new Fiat 600e. It is Fiat’s second fully electric passenger car and will eventually push the 500X out of the delivery range. Just like the 500X, the 600e is richly endowed with design elements from the classic and modern 500s. Yet the car does everything differently than that now nine-year-old crossover.
Unlike the Fiat 500e, which was in principle still developed under FCA Automobiles, this 600e is clearly a fruit of parent company Stellantis. It is therefore the umpteenth car on the modular (E-) GMP basis of that immense concern. Yet the Fiat 600e has not become a dime a dozen model. Just like the Peugeot (e-) 2008, DS 3 E-Tense, Opel Mokka (Electric) and Jeep Avenger, the Italian has its own interior and exterior.
The fact that there are similarities with the 500X is no surprise given the high level of historically sound 500 design. Just like the Fiat 500e, the 600e has round headlights with the upper half, which can be found in the hood, consisting of only half an LED ring. A layer below we see semi-open LED circles and in the center of the partly closed grille we read – just like at the bottom of the rear doors – the model name: 600. In keeping with 500 and 500X tradition, the license plate is centrally located in the tailgate under a shelter housed. On both sides of the 600e-bips we find recognizable taillights that are more interesting than you might think. They consist of C-shapes that are split by a horizontal part. The whole is filled by a collection of squares that become smaller towards the center and upwards. You will also find the model name in the rear bumper, this time split by a stripe in the colors of the Italian flag.
Dimensions and luggage space
Fiat describes the 600e as ‘the big sister’ of the 500e. That doesn’t seem to lie a word, after all, the 600e is considerably larger. It measures 4.17 meters in length and is therefore more than half a meter longer. The Fiat 600e does not share any technology with the much smaller 500e. Where the aforementioned Peugeot 2008 and Opel Mokka in the form of the 208 and Corsa also have smaller hatchback siblings that use the same platform, the 500e is not on the same basis as the 600e. If we put the Fiat 600e next to its alternatives within Stellantis, the Italian EV turns out to be 2 centimeters longer than the Opel Mokka, 5 centimeters longer than the DS 3 and 9 centimeters longer than the Jeep Avenger.
The wheelbase is 2.56 meters. This is the same as that of the sister models mentioned above (2.56 meters). With lengths of 4.3 meters and 4.36 meters, the Peugeot 2008 and Citroën ë-C4 are again a size larger than the Fiat 600e and also have a greater distance between the front and rear axle. The wheelbase of the 2008 is 2.6 meters, that of the ë-C4 no less than 2.67 meters. The boot space of the Fiat 600e is 360 litres, which is larger than that of the Mokka Electric (310 litres), Jeep Avenger (355 litres) and DS 3 E-Tense (350 litres). The Peugeot e-2008 surpasses them with 405 liters.
409 km range, mild-hybrid version follows
It will not surprise you that the subcutaneous technique is now known. Like the upgraded versions of its leggy EV cousins, the Fiat 600e has a 54 kWh battery pack and a 156 hp and 260 Nm strong electric motor. According to the Italians, this combination is good for a range of up to 409 kilometers. Fast charging is possible with a maximum of 100 kW. With this powertrain, it reaches 100 km/h from standstill in exactly 9 seconds. The top speed of the Fiat 600e is set at 150 km/h.
Will it remain with a fully electric Fiat 600e? No! Fiat is already announcing the arrival of a mild-hybrid version. It is called Fiat 600 Hybrid and will follow in mid-2024.
Interior
The interior of the 600e is just as retro. The dashboard is broadly very similar to that of the smaller 500e. Behind the steering wheel is a 7-inch digital instrument panel placed under a round roof and the infotainment screen with a diagonal of 10.25 inches is located centrally on the dashboard. As with the 500e, the vents of the ventilation system are housed in a strip that runs the entire width of the interior. One floor below you will find – just like with the 500e – push buttons with which you can operate the climate control, among other things, although the buttons themselves are different. You choose the direction of travel – indeed, just like with the 500e – with a set of push buttons lower on the dashboard. Unlike the smallest electric Fiat, the dashboard and the center tunnel are connected by a storage compartment. The 600e will soon be available with extensive mood lighting and even with a driver’s seat with massage function.
Prices Fiat 600e
Fiat introduces the 600e in two flavors. It will initially be marketed as Red and as the highest positioned LaPrima. The LaPrima is the classic, more luxurious variant, the Red is – you guessed it – completely in red and also has red accents in the interior.
As a Red, the Fiat 600e has a starting price of €35,990. You have lost €40,990 for the more spaciously equipped Fiat 600e LaPrima. The Fiat 500e Red has playfully shaped steel wheels, LED lighting all around, rear parking sensors, mood lighting, a leatherette-covered steering wheel and the 10.25-inch infotainment screen. Adaptive cruise control with Traffic Jam Assist, automatic air conditioning and a rain sensor are also available.
The Fiat 600e LaPrima does have alloy wheels. They are 18-inches in diameter. The LaPrima is finished with chrome-colored accents, has electrically adjustable, folding and heated exterior mirrors, darker tinted rear side windows and also offers more goodies inside. For example, the six-way electrically adjustable and heated front seats with a massage function for the driver’s seat, an automatically dimming interior mirror, ivory-colored artificial leather upholstery, extra speakers, a double loading floor, velor floor mats, navigation, all-round parking sensors, a reversing camera, blind spot detection, an induction charger and an electric operable tailgate with foot sensor. Automatic high beam? Standard. The same goes for Keyless Entry.
600
Fiat obviously did not just come up with the model name 600e. Even before Fiat brought ‘the backpack’ 500 onto the market, it already produced a 600 from the mid-1950s to the end of the 1960s. The Fiat 600 was also available as the 600 Multipla, to which the cult car bombed ribbed MPV from the 1990s takes its name. In the second half of the 1990s, Fiat introduced a successor to the Cinquecento that appeared on the market at the beginning of that decade: the Seicento. Cinquecento means ‘500’ in Italian and Seicento is of course ‘600’. Those 600 and Seicento of yesteryear therefore have a distant descendant in this 600e, although it is mainly the successor to the 500X.
