Nissan GT-R 2024

A new year, a new update for the Nissan GT-R. Nissan’s ultimate powerhouse will turn 16 years old later this year, but that certainly won’t stop Nissan from giving the car another little refresh. This year, the external changes are more obvious than in the past few years.

Like many other brands, Nissan makes yearly model year updates to its models to keep things fresh and current. The now 15-year-old Nissan GT-R also cannot escape an annual refresher, although you often don’t see it on the outside. This year is different, Nissan actually gives the GT-R a renewed front.

Of course, the external changes this year are not exactly earth-shattering either, but it is easier to pick out the Nissan GT-R of model year 2024 than those of previous years. Nissan pulls what it calls the V-Motion grille – the V-shaped piece of plastic – out of the grille. That is striking, the brand added it to the car in 2016 – when the GT-R was more than eight years old. The horizontal piece of bumper that divides the grille into two parts is no longer black, but in body color. Nissan has placed a vertical slat on both sides of both the upper and lower grille and new LED daytime running lights on the corners of the bumper. The LED daytime running lights are more or less honeycomb-shaped and are no longer placed in a cooling opening as before. The rear bumper is also designed differently from that of the GT-R from model year 2023.

The external changes apply to all versions of the Nissan GT-R, although the Nismo versions of course look a lot more intense than the non-Nismo variants. By the way, there are quite a few versions. Are we co-writing? Nissan offers the GT-R as a Pure Edition, as a Black Edition, Premium Edition, Premium Edition T-Spec, GT-R Track Edition Engineered by Nismo, GT-R Track Edition Engineered by Nismo T-Spec, Nismo and Nismo Special Edition. The last two are the full Nismo versions. They have a 600 hp version of the biturbo 3.8 V6 as a power plant. The non-Nismos have a 570 hp version of that six-cylinder.

In the Netherlands you will not see the updated Nissan GT-R. At least, not through the Dutch Nissan dealers. In fact, the GT-R has not been offered in Europe since last year.
