Nissan recently implemented a minor model year update on the Leaf. That refresher session for the electric car didn’t mean much, but the refreshed Nissan Leaf is quite interesting. The Nissan Leaf is up to more than 10 percent cheaper!
In February, the now about four-year-old second generation Nissan Leaf was tackled in detail. The Nissan Leaf of the new model year can be recognized by the slightly modified front. For example, the black panel on the front of the Leaf that contains the Nissan logo has a different pattern and the chrome-colored decorative strip that was around it has disappeared. Nissan also brings new alloys and new colors to its electric pioneer. Nobody will lose sleep over those changes, but the new prices of the Leaf that AutoWeek has surfaced are much more interesting. The Nissan Leaf is up to more than 10 percent cheaper.
leaf
The Nissan Leaf previously had a starting price of €33,340, but is now in the order books from less than 30 mille. Nissan takes €3,640 off the asking price of the Leaf Visia with 39 kWh battery, which gives the Leaf a new starting price of €29,700. The Leaf with 40 kWh battery is also available in the Acenta, Connecta and Tekna versions. The Acenta and Connecta are also €3,640 cheaper and cost €32,050 and €33,350 consecutively. For the Leaf with 40 kWh battery in Tekna trim you will soon lose €3,140 less than before. It now costs €35,800.
Leaf+
As before, the Nissan Leaf is also available as a Leaf+ with a 62 kWh battery. The Leaf with a larger lung capacity as Acenta has a new entry price of €36,500. This makes it €3,790 cheaper than before. The Leaf+ is also available as Connecta and Tekna. The Leaf+ Connecta costs a minimum of €37,800 (-€3,640), the Tekna flavor changes hands from €40,250 (-€3,540).
The Leaf’s powertrains have not been tinkered with, so the Leaf comes with a 40 kWh battery and 150 hp electric motor about 270 kilometers away on a full charge of current. The 217 hp Leaf + kicks it to a range of 385 kilometers. Interesting for the business driver: the fiscal prices of the Nissan Leaf are €900 below the stated starting prices.
