Nissan Note

Nissan is pulling the curtain on the refreshed Note in its home country of Japan. After three years, the third generation Nissan Note can start the next chapter with, among other things, a fresh front.

Do you remember the Nissan Note? The first and second generations of the mini MPV were also available in the Netherlands, from 2005 to 2017. After that, the curtain fell here, but in 2020 a third Note was presented on the other side of the world. Since we don’t do ‘out of sight, out of mind’ in the newsroom, we told you about this in detail at the time. Now the Nissan Note has been facelifted and of course we don’t want to deprive you of that news either.

The current Note is tackled in a way that is reminiscent of what Nissan does with the X-Trail and probably also with the Qashqai. This means that the ‘V-Motion’ grille in particular will be overhauled. Nissan abandons filling the grille with a largely black mesh pattern and gives the Note, just like the Rogue (X-Trail) recently, a series of horizontal stripes. At the bottom of the grille, they even extend into chrome trim parts next to the grille, giving the Note a somewhat wider optical face than before. There are also similar extensions in the newly completed headlights. LED lighting is now also standard. At the rear it remains more of the same, although we do see a somewhat sportier-looking rear bumper. In the interior you are also treated to more ‘stripes’, namely on the decorative panel on the dashboard. Nice detail: there are also new hubcaps available, which almost look like they were taken from a Nissan from the 1980s.

Nissan Note

The Nissan Note retains the two options that were already available in terms of drive. This means that the Note is only available with an e-Power drive. A 1.2 three-cylinder engine runs as a generator, which supplies power to one electric motor at the front or two electric motors at the front and rear. There are no other choices for the Note. We should not expect the updated Nissan Note here. A loss?
