Nissan: Only electrified models from around 2030

Nissan has set itself the goal of only supplying electrified models in its main markets from around 2030. Nissan’s e-Power technology must play a major role in this, the brand announced today.

Nissan says it wants to be completely CO2 neutral by 2050. To achieve that goal, the brand has decided to only offer electrified models on the European, Chinese, Japanese and American markets from around 2030.

Nissan is, among other things, committed to the development of new battery technology and specifically mentions the development of solid-state batteries. In addition, e-Power technology, which you can read more about here, must be thoroughly developed in the coming years. To reduce its so-called ecological footprint, the brand is also entering into partnerships with energy companies. Nissan wants to generate renewable energy around its production facilities, among other things. The production processes themselves must thereby become more energy efficient. Nissan has not released the investment costs involved in the latest plans, but they are undoubtedly well in the paper.
