Nissan shows unique NV350 and Note

Nissan is bringing a number of concept cars to the Virtual Auto Salon, the replacement event for the Tokyo Auto Salon. A number of cars were already known, but there is also something new to discover: the NV350 Caravan Office Pod Concept and the Note Play Gear Concept.

The most exciting news from Nissan was already known last year. The brand comes with an electric crossover in the form of the Ariya and there will be a successor to the 370Z. Those two cars can also be admired at the virtual event, which will take place from tomorrow. In addition, Nissan especially wants to emphasize the personalization options. First of all, there is the NV350 Caravan Office Pod Concept, with which you actually have a mobile office at your disposal. The relief on the sides and the white sliding doors make it immediately distinguishable from an ordinary NV350. The office is extendable, so you can work outdoors if desired, but Nissan has even created a real ‘roof terrace’ complete with a parasol on top of the van. Working from home suddenly takes on a completely different meaning.

The other concept car is the Note Play Gear, which is based on the Nissan Note unveiled last year. In fact, this is nothing more than an optically dressed Note, with sportier bumpers and side skirts, 17-inch wheels and copper-colored accents. Nissan is not reporting changes to the e-Power powertrain, but it is quite possible that the Play Gear has four-wheel drive from the pictures in the snow. That would mean that he has two electric motors on board. You get the roof box as a bonus. Finally, Nissan also shows a Leaf dolled up by Nismo at the Auto Salon.

If you are already enthusiastic about these show models, then we have to disappoint you. The NV350 is not available in the Netherlands and we do not expect the Note to make the crossing to our country.
