Nissan has given the Navara-related Terra a facelift. The SUV gets a new muzzle, a new rear and a sharpened interior. Optically, the car is further than before from the Navara with which it shares its base.
The Terra presented in 2018 is an SUV that is not available in Europe and shares its ladder chassis and most of its technology with the Navara, which is well-known here. The Narava was recently facelifted and now the Terra has also been officially updated. The Terra already had a different nose than the Navara, but the updated Terra takes more distance from that pick-up. Nissan gives the Terra headlights that are more similar to those of big brother Armada / Patrol. The new front bumper looks just a bit more adventurous with its right angles and silver-colored skid plate. Incidentally, between the new LED headlights is a completely new grille, one without a clear V-frame and this time with horizontal blades.

There is also news at the back. The just under 4.9 meter long Terra has rear lights with a new LED layout and the entire tailgate has been renewed. The license plate box has a different shape and from now on the model name of the car is written out in large letters above it, in this case ‘X-Terra’ as the Terra is called in the Middle East. The silver-colored strip that used to be between the rear lights moves up a bit and now curves. At the bottom of the bottom a silver-colored instead of black skid plate. In contrast to the Navara, which only got a detailed interior renewed in its facelift, the dashboard in the Terra is completely renewed. From the instruments to the canopy and from the center console to the center tunnel and the ventilation grilles: absolutely everything is new. The Terra will again have versions with a 2.5-liter petrol engine that delivers around 170 hp and 240 Nm. In addition to a rear-wheel drive variant, there will also be Terra’s with four-wheel drive.
The Nissan Terra is also not coming to the Netherlands in its renewed form.
