Nissan X-Trail fully featured as Rogue

The all-new Nissan X-Trail fails to keep its head under control. We have already seen patent drawings before, now it is the turn of leaked leaflet material.

Of course we never know for sure, but the material that has now been made public through Worldscoops seems very real. The somewhat slick images seem to come straight from the folder and show a very complete image of the SUV that will most likely be called X-Trail again with us. In this case it concerns the American Rogue version, but it actually only differs in terms of the motorization and the nameplate of the variant known here.

The images show a car that is exactly the same as the one on the earlier sketches, to begin with, although it has been colored this time. The two-layered front, with the low beams located one floor lower than the daytime and city lights and turn signals, is a striking design feature. Nissan has been using this setup on the stubborn Juke for a long time, but has not previously applied the “joke” to other models. At the rear, the differences between the outgoing and the new model are less. The rear lights remain visually glued to the rear window, but the whole looks a bit tighter, more robust and simply more modern than we are used to.

Judging from these images, the biggest revolution takes place in the interior. The interior of the current X-trail is certainly not the most refined or modern workplace we know and is a very traditional and also somewhat inspirational whole. The new one seems to end this rigorously. The dashboard looks much tighter and looks nice and wide due to the many horizontally oriented elements. A large digital instrumentation and ditto touchscreen give the whole a high-tech sauce, assisted by the shift-by-wire automatic gear lever on the remarkably high center tunnel.

The American Rogue has to do it in contrast to our X-Trail with a maximum of five seats. In Europe, the third row of seats offers the model significant added value over the smaller Qashqai, so it seems logical that the new X-trail will also get such a bench. When the new Rogue / X trail makes its appearance is not known, but the car is certainly ready for it, based on these images. Incidentally, the Rogue is a very important car for Nissan. In the US, the model has consistently scored in the sales top 10 in recent years and elsewhere this medium-sized segment is also very popular.
