Back to his successes?

Nyck de Vries is now without a racing seat due to a disappointing first (and probably only) Formula 1 season, but that is about to change. De Vries returns to Formula E.
Last year it seemed like it was going to be a fairy tale. After an impressive performance in the Italian GP, Nyck de Vries was told that he could drive for AlphaTauri in Formula 1 in the 2023 season. The two-time Formula E world champion and single Formula 2 champion finally reached the top of motorsport, even though that opportunity seemed almost gone. Unfortunately, this year things did not go as De Vries and AlphaTauri had hoped and it was enough for the Red Bull sister team to send De Vries packing. Fortunately, the 28-year-old Frisian now has the prospect of action in racing again.
Mahindra’s Formula E team has announced that De Vries will join for the coming season. He will become a teammate of 36-year-old Edoardo Mortara, who, like De Vries, already has extensive experience in Formula E. Mahindra Racing, which operates under the Indian flag, has been involved in the electric racing class from the start and has achieved its best performance. third place in the championship in the 2016-2017 season. Things have gone considerably less well in recent years, Mahindra Racing finished tenth last season. Only Cupra performed worse then. De Vries hopes that Mahindra Racing will have its affairs in better order next season. It starts in Mexico on January 13.
