The day on which Samsung will announce the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Z Flip 4 has now been officially announced. The upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on August 10. We also get to see the Galaxy Watch 5 series.
Samsung Galaxy Unpacked
Galaxy Unpacked is an annual event where Samsung announces its new flagships. There are always two Galaxy Unpacked events per year, one at the beginning and one at the end of the year. During the first Unpacked, the Galaxy S series is revealed and the second we got to see the new Galaxy Note series. That Galaxy Note has since been replaced by the Galaxy S22 Ultra and the second Unpacked event is now all about Samsung’s foldable phones.
So next month we will see the foldable Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Z Flip 4 for the first time. Samsung will also unveil the Galaxy Watch 5 series.
Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 specs
Many details about the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Z Flip 4 have already surfaced. According to previous rumors, Samsung is using a thinner hinge and lighter materials for its upcoming Galaxy Z devices. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 will also have slightly wider screens. We’ve already seen benchmarks of that phone with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and we also know that a major camera upgrade is on the way for the Z Fold 4. In terms of fast charging, we don’t have to have great expectations, but Samsung is planning to give its foldables more storage: up to 512 GB for the Z Flip 4 and 1 TB for the Z Fold 4.

This model would come in a version with LTE and a version with Bluetooth. In addition, a wider range of colors is expected for the Galaxy Watch 5 than for the Galaxy Watch Pro. Both smartwatches run on Wear OS 3.5, with the new One UI 4.5 interface on top.
