Only one or two of these cars were sold in October

The monthly sales figures offer an interesting perspective on the range of models available in the Netherlands. They betray how well the different brands and models are doing, but they are also often surprised by the models that do less well. Today we lift them onto the podium. We look at all cars of which one or two copies were sold in October, in order to exclude the discontinued models that you find among the cars that were sold zero times.

What stands out then? Well, Toyota is not only the producer that sold the most cars, but also the producer that offers the most models with only one sold. The first of many Toyota’s expected bZ4X was given a yellow plate, just like a single Camry, Land Cruiser and Supra. The brand sold two of the Mirai last month.

The brands that skewed are shown in the list, are the brands that sold only one car in the Netherlands in October. As far as Alpine, Morgan or Rolls-Royce are concerned, that is not surprising, but Subaru is also part of it, for example. One Solterra – the Subaru counterpart of the bZ4X – was registered. So the XV, Outback as Forester found zero customers in October. Last month, the Chinese JAC managed to tempt one Dutch customer to purchase with its iEV7S.

At Maserati, this applied to the Levante and the still available Ghibli, which has been available since 2013. The brand sold three of the Grecale, bringing the Italians’ October total to five. We are curious what the new GranTurismo, which will also be available as an EV, and the further deliveries of the Grecale in a year’s time will bring about.
