Microsoft’s webmail has a very handy option that allows you to recall a message sent a little too quickly.
Writing a long email and sending it straight away is rarely a good idea. If you left a typo after proofreading, forgot important information, omitted to insert the attachment you are referring to in your message… Or quite simply if you made the wrong recipient by validating the autocomplete a little too quickly, everything is not lost!
Microsoft Outlook, like Gmail, includes a message reminder function. When properly configured, it allows you to recall a message for a period of several seconds after sending it. You can then reopen your message to correct your error. Your recipient has no alert on his side informing him that you have sent him a message.
Here is in a few very simple steps how to configure the message reminder function in the web version of Microsoft Outlook.

1. Open Settings
Click on the icon appearing as a toothed wheel displayed at the top right of Outlook, then in the pane that unfolds on the right, click on the menu Show all Outlook settings grafted at the bottom of the screen.

2. Set up undo send
By default, Outlook settings open to the Mail section. Enter the Compose and reply menu and scroll through the proposed options until you reach the Undo send part.

Microsoft Outlook provides the ability to unsend a message right after you click the send button. Using your mouse, adjust the displayed slider to choose how long Outlook waits for sending your messages and click the Save button to save your changes. Play it safe and choose the maximum duration of 10 seconds.
3. Remind an email
If you have sent a freshly written message a little too quickly, Outlook gives you a maximum of ten seconds to cancel the sending of your e-mail.

To recall an email after pressing the Send button, simply click the Cancel button displayed at the bottom of the inbox next to the Sending notification.
