Over the top: Hennessey Venom 800

The United States. The land of unlimited possibilities, as the famous saying goes. That description has given Hennessey Performance a license for years to put the most crazy, but therefore very nice creations on the road. This time the Texans present the Hennessey Venom 600 to daylight.

Hennessey Performance is a Texas-based tuner who apparently puts his designs on paper after tapping a bottle of bourbon. The company has proven for years with the wackiest creations that it makes you creative. From six-wheeled and extended Chevrolets Silverado and Rams 1500 to Fords Bronco with a 750 hp V8: Hennessey Performance does not hesitate. That the company also has a more serious side, it proves with the blood-fast Venom F5. The Hennessey Venom 800 that plays the lead role in this article still falls into the ‘crazy’ category.

The Venom 800 is a thoroughly renovated Ford F-150 with a heavy powertrain. Under the hood of the Super Cew-based Ford F-150 Venom 800 lies a mighty 5.0-liter V8 on which a 3.0-liter supercharger is screwed. Together with a modified intake section, a new fuel pump and a modified exhaust system, the Venom 600 produces 816 hp and 986 Nm. That makes it no less than 100 hp stronger than the Ram TRX equipped with Hellcat power … Shifting is done with a modified ten-speed automatic from Ford.

With that chunk of primitive primal force, the Venom 800 thunders to 97 km / h (60 mph) in 3.6 seconds. Brembo’s fierce inhibition should calm the colossus again. You may have noticed that the Venom 800 is also more on the outside than a regular F-150. The pick-up is much higher on its legs thanks to a lift kit and 35-inch all-terrain tires are folded around the 20-inch wheels. The price tag of all this beauty? Converted just under € 124,000. Hennessey says it will produce 100 units.
