Do you live in the city and are you completely done with looking for a suitable parking space for your large SUV or crossover? Slovakia-based start-up Patak Motors gets it all and comes up with a little fun machine that you can park in almost any parking space.

We are digitally introduced to the Rodster, a small open two-seater with which the Slovak start-up Patak claims to have the best means of transport in the city. The Rodster looks as if it could have been sold side by side with the classic MGs from the 1930s, but is really completely modern.

Despite its classic carriage, the Rodster does not only come with a combustion engine, but also with an all-electric powertrain. Patak does not report detailed technical specifications yet, but does indicate that all versions of the Rodster are no more than 20 hp strong. This makes it possible in various European countries, including France, to drive the car with a B1 driving license from the age of 16. There will be an electric version with which you can drive about 100 kilometers and a variant with a range of 250 kilometers.

The Patak Rodster will be available with a fabric roof, but there will also be a cheaper NR (No Roof) variant without a folding roof. The trolley is 3.36 meters short, 1.36 meters low and 1.4 meters wide. With those dimensions, the Rodster is 4 centimeters shorter and 8 centimeters narrower than the previous generation Daihatsu Copen. Patak gives the Rodster disc brakes all round and the option list even includes parking sensors. The Rodster can already be reserved after making a deposit of €500. For the Rodster with a roof, Patak asks at least €18,400, the Rodster NR without a roof costs €16,900. The two electric versions cost €6,000 and €8,500 extra. Patak claims that the first copies will be delivered by the end of 2024.
